Welcome to this step-by-step tutorial on how to import and edit a template file in LumaBooth on your Mac. LumaBooth and DSLRBooth are from the same company, meaning you can use the same .zip file from the DSLRBooth folder for LumaBooth. Let’s get started!
1. Download and Unzip Your Template

- Download your chosen template.
- Locate the downloaded .zip file in your Downloads folder.
- Double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
- Inside the unzipped folder, you will find a DSLRBooth folder. This folder works perfectly for LumaBooth.

2. Create a New Event in LumaBooth

- Open LumaBooth on your Mac.
- Click on the New Event button at the bottom left corner.
- Set an event name (e.g., “Test Event”).
- Click Customize Settings to enter the event setup page.
3. Import Your Template

- Navigate to Print Layout, where you will find the Template Management Area.
- Click the Import button on the right-hand side.
- Locate the folder where you saved the unzipped file (usually in Downloads).
- Open the DSLRBooth folder, then go to the Mac subfolder.
- Select the template file in .zip format to import.
- If you want to switch layouts, simply click the Import button again and choose a different template file from the same folder.

4. Install Required Fonts

Before making any edits, ensure you install all the required fonts listed in the documentation file included with your template. This prevents missing text styles and broken templates.
5. Edit Your Template

- Click on any text box to modify the text.
- Enter your new content in the text editor at the top right corner.
- Hit Enter to save your changes.
6. Adjust Print Layout & Paper Size

- In the Print Layout section, you can adjust the paper size.
- For example, convert a 4×6 template into a 2×6 strip by selecting the appropriate layout from the paper size options.
- No extra templates are required—LumaBooth has the functionality built in.
7. Test Your Setup

- Click the Next button at the bottom right until you return to the welcome screen.
- Click the Camera icon to start capturing photos.
- Your setup is now complete!

And that’s it! You’ve successfully imported and edited a template in LumaBooth on your Mac. Try out different designs and layouts to create the perfect event experience. Happy photo boothing!
